NEW B & L ALBUM ALMOST done...We promise!!!  We finished mixing it this weekend.  The next step is mastering which makes it sound extra special nice in your cheap computer speakers AND your fancy stereos alike.  Seems tedious, but it's a must do.  Our friend Ms. Grace Potter is working on the artwork for us (yet another hidden talent she posseses) and we can't wait to see what she comes up with.  The mastering date is set for March 23rd and we will be mastering to tape, just as we mixed to tape. Only the best for you fine fans ;)  After that is done, we ship off the art and the finished master copy of the album to our friends at Oasis Manufacturing and they print up the CD's for us (and you we hope!).  That takes 2-3 weeks.  So...April 15th or earlier we should have them available.  If you're REALLY itching for the new sounds, we will also have a digital version available for download on our site here by the 26th or 27th of March.  Hope that helps.  We hate the wait too!!!

6/1/09 In case you haven't heard thru the GPN grapevine, BENNY YURCO JOINS THE BAND! 
Benny has signed on to join GPN, and is already out there tearing up the road with them.  By all accounts, the addition of Ben on rhythm guitar and backing vocals and Catherine Popper on bass and backing vocals, is shaking things up.  Benny describes it as "GPN on steroids!"

3/18/09 Cancelled Shows
As you may have noticed, we recently had to cancel several shows. We are so sorry for any inconvenience, and we look forward to rescheduling those shows and playing for you all real soon.

The shows have been cancelled for the following reason (excerpt from Grace Potter and the Nocturnals' website):

Show Cancellations
We want to apologize for the unfortunate cancellation of the trio of shows scheduled for the end of March (Revolution Hall, 8x10, and Mr. Small's). GPN and bassist Bryan Dondero have recently parted ways. Bryan is an important part of the band’s growth over these last five years, and he will be missed and not easily replaced. We thank everyone for understanding and look forward to playing for you this summer."

Blues and Lasers would like to apologize again for the inconvenience, and wish Bryan the best of luck.

3/3/09 Show Updates!
Sorry for the late notice.  Our last two shows at Metronome (3/5/09 and 3/12/09) are now being offered as 18+.  They will not be free, as originally thought.  The cost will be $5 for 21+ and $10 for 18-20.  Hope to see you there!
